Investmates and design partner INOA Architecture have revealed a rendering for 217 Franklin Street, a six-story condominium development located near the waterfront tip of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The project is one of nearly a dozen new residential projects in North Brooklyn on which the duo has collaborated.
The structure will eventually comprise 9,082 square feet. Its residential component will occupy 6,332 square feet including six condominiums averaging around 1,055 square feet apiece. The rendering illustrates a pale masonry building with staggered recessed terraces at each level. The roof of the structure will support additional outdoor space, but it is unclear whether this will be available to all residents or reserved for a penthouse unit.
Renderings or specifications regarding building interiors have not yet been revealed.
Located between Freeman Street and Eagle Street, the project is just a short walk from the Greenpoint Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. Similar projects underway or completed by Investmates include 81 India Street, 78 Eagle Street, and 256 North 9th Street, among others.
Construction at 217 Franklin Street is expected to wrap by spring 2021.
