Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 2886 Atlantic Avenue in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Jerome Street, the corner lot is near the Van Siclen Avenue subway station, serviced by the J and Z trains. The Jay Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 90-foot-tall development will yield 127,821 square feet, with 122,694 square feet designated for residential space and 5,126 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 178 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 689 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, 14 open parking spaces, and 44 enclosed parking spaces.
JFA Architects & Engineers is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed last month for the single-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

All of these recently sold gas station properties must have the same owner.
