Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a four-story residential building at 133 Sutter Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Located between Legion Street and Saratoga Avenue, the lot is near the Saratoga Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, and 4 trains. Mohsin Devjiyani is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 40-foot-tall development will yield 7,566 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have ten residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 756 square feet. The steel-based structure will have a 10-foot-long side yard, but no accessory parking.

Nikolai Katz Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. I’d like to see more of these Nehemiah/post-fire houses be turned into 6 story apartment buildings

  2. Great choice more living space build back up the community
