The affordable housing lottery has launched for 26-36 4th Street, a six-story mixed-use building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by Gerald Caliendo and developed by Dr. Baldhevai Patel, the structure yields 10 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $87,429 to $165,230.

Residences include washers and dryers, dishwashers, air conditioning, smart controls for heating and cooling, energy-efficient appliances, patios or balconies, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Amenities include online options for leasing, paying rent, and making maintenance requests, elevator, and gated access. Tenants are responsible for electricity which includes heating, hot water, and stove.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,550 for incomes ranging from $87,429 to $165,230.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than March 14, 2024.
