Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 557 3rd Avenue in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Located between 14th and 15th Streets, the lot is near the Prospect Avenue subway station, serviced by the R train. Michael Khoo of MK Improvement Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 29,466 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 41 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 718 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and 21 enclosed parking spaces.
Sugham Chang of Basic Groups Corp is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
