Construction is nearing completion on The Greenwich, an 88-story residential skyscraper at 125 Greenwich Street in Manhattan‘s Financial District. Designed by Rafael Viñoly and developed by Fortress Investment Group, Bizzi & Partners, and Bilgili Holding, the 912-foot-tall structure will yield 272 residences with interiors designed by MAWD, as well as more than 27,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities. The property is located at the corner of Greenwich and Thames Streets.

The Greenwich’s amenities will include a saltwater lap pool and a fitness center. Its exterior design is marked by an exposed concrete column and a unique glass facade with rounded corners, and will provide residents panoramic views of the Hudson River, Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center, and the New York City skyline.

This skyscraper could be used to make a documentary, now construction is nearing completion; SUCCEED! Thanks.

  3. “The NY Fire Department told DailyMail.com the fire is contained to the HVAC system and they are monitoring the situation. No injuries have been reported as of 10am EST”

  4. Due to the fire in the building, will the units then be offered at “FIRE SALE” discounts?!🤔🤣

  5. Just give us back our streets, sidewalks, and sunlight.

Summer is not so far away. They will have to fix their fire-damaged system quickly. One cannot exactly open a window.

The building looks attractive, though I sometimes wonder if such large windows are too much of a good thing. I suppose they have some sort of solar filtering to reduce UV.

When I moved into my building 48 years ago, it was common in the area for people to cover the upper panes of the casement windows with aluminum foil—not a very attractive appearance.

  8. It was almost done, but now it’s well-done.

  9. Should have used union, skilled and safety trained steamfitters . This never would’ve happened. Steamfitters local 638
