Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 182 South 9th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Driggs Avenue and Roebling Street, the lot is near the Marcy Avenue subway station, served by the J, M, and Z trains. Jerome Zwick is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 64-foot-tall development will yield 8,245 square feet, with 7,396 square feet designated for residential space and 849 square feet for commercial space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 924 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Nikolai Katz Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Save the tree it been there at least for enons I am 67. Put the free in prospect Park with other seniors. I use to watch that tree. The only thing I had because I’ll neglect in 1960. Our family was cold. Landlord had no heat.
Your comment made me smile. Yes, it would be great if they could move beautiful old trees if the alternative is to cut them down. I don’t think this tree is in immediate danger … but you never know!
