Astoria Towers II in Corona, Queens via NYC Housing Connect

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Astoria Towers II, an eight-story senior residential building at 32-14 111th Street in Corona, Queens. Designed by Michels & Waldron Associates and developed by Essex Plaza Management, the structure yields 168 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 73 units for senior residents at 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $69,900.

Amenities include common area Wi-Fi, recreational room, package lockers, bicycle storage, an on-site laundry room, and on-site social services. Tenants are responsible for electricity and electric stove.

At 60 percent of the AMI, there are 36 studios with a monthly rent of $0 for incomes ranging from $0 to $62,150, and 37 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $0 for incomes ranging from $0 to $69,900.

Households must have at least one household member who is 62 years of age or older at the time of the application. Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than May 5, 2025.
