Permits have been filed for a 14-story mixed-use building at 450 Powell Street in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Powell Street and Livonia Avenue, the lot is steps from the Junius subway station, served by the 3 train. Daniel Rad of Radson Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 139-foot-tall development will yield 217,133 square feet, with 197,482 square feet designated for residential space, 18,292 square feet for commercial space, and 1,359 square for community facility space. The building will have 283 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 697 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and 28 enclosed parking spaces.
Frank J. Quatela Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
