Vango Development has broken ground on The Parker East, a five-story mixed-use building at 263 Hackensack Street in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Designed by MHS Architecture, the project plans to yield 86 rental apartments and approximately 1,100 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Construction is backed by a $25 million loan from ConnectOne Bank, which was finalized in January 2025. Completion is anticipated by June 2026.
The Parker East will feature a corner entrance at Hackensack Street and Winter Place, along with a trellis-accented façade of dark brick. Units will be offered in one- and two-bedroom configurations. Each home will include energy-efficient heating and cooling, in-home laundry, and smart access systems.
Amenities within the property will include a rooftop terrace with barbecue stations and views of the Meadowlands and New York City skyline. There will also be a landscaped courtyard, a fitness center, a lobby with coworking space, a dog spa, and covered parking. The Parker East is located within a short walk of the Rutherford train station, which is served by the Bergen County Line Train and the Port Jervis Line Train.
