Construction is underway on the first phase of Innovative Urban Village, a $270 million affordable and supportive housing development located on the campus of the Christian Cultural Center in East New York, Brooklyn. The current phase, referred to as Phase 1A, will bring 385 new affordable apartments to the area, along with commercial space that includes a full-service grocery store offering fresh produce. The project is designed by Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU) and SLCE Architects and developed by the Christian Cultural Center, Gotham Organization, and Monadnock Development.
Of Phase 1A’s 385 apartments, all will be affordable to households earning between 30 and 80 percent of the area median income, with 94 units reserved for individuals and families in need of on-site supportive services. These services, provided by Urban Resource Institute, will include case management, legal support, nutritional counseling, and other social services.
Innovative Urban Village Phase 1A is part of a multi-phase redevelopment of the Christian Cultural Center’s campus that will eventually include nearly 2,000 affordable apartments across ten buildings. The broader campus will feature public open spaces, community facilities with childcare and senior services, workforce development centers, and a performing arts venue. It will include all-electric heating and cooling systems, solar panels, green roofs, electric vehicle charging stations, and ENERGY STAR appliances.

Will non-Christians be permitted?
As a Member of CCC, I don’t think You have to be a Member of the Church. The Goal Pastor had in Mind is, Affordable Rent because People CAN’T afford these High Price Rents that are OUT of Control. Here’s the Church Number, You call them if you would like more information. (718) 306-1000
This is excellent for the area.
