Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 10–39 49th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Located between Vernon Boulevard and Jackson Avenue, the lot is one block north of the Vernon Boulevard–Jackson Avenue subway station, served by the 7 train. Yong Chen is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 23,989 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 35 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 685 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, 13 open parking spaces, and six enclosed parking spaces.

Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects Studio is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. The building is already in construction, dawg. Its been in construction for a while now its like a floor or two from topping out

  2. Wrong address

  3. I’ve been passing this lot for years (decades) and wondering when something more useful would become of it.
It looks like the entire parking lot is around 15k sq feet. Seems like you can get much more than a 24k sq ft building there.
My guess is that they sold just a portion of that lot and the church is keeping at least half of it?
