Construction has broken ground on The Vantage, a four-story mixed-use project at 112 Ferris Place in Westfield, New Jersey. Developed by Vango Development, the project will deliver 60 rental residences, including nine designated as affordable housing, above a ground-floor retail space and underground parking. Designed to align with Westfield’s “Prospect & Ferris Redevelopment Plan,” the project is being developed in collaboration with CPA Architecture, MHS Architecture, Stonefield Engineering & Design, and The Childs Dreyfus Group, with leasing scheduled to begin in early 2027.

The Vantage includes a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, with three live-work apartments offering separate street-level entrances. Amenities will include a landscaped outdoor courtyard, a resident clubhouse with fitness space, Amazon Hub package lockers, EV charging stations, and secure bicycle parking. Interior finishes will feature high ceilings, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, spa-style bathrooms with Kohler fixtures, and in-unit washers and dryers.

A major component of the project is the relocation and adaptive reuse of the Mills-Ferris-Pearsall House, an 18th-century landmark that will be preserved and repurposed as a public-facing cultural and educational facility. The project’s retail space, located at the corner of Prospect Street and Ferris Place, is expected to enhance pedestrian activity and complement the surrounding neighborhood.
The site is walkable to Westfield Station, served by NJ Transit’s Raritan Valley Line, providing access to Newark Penn Station and connections to New York City.
