The Lower Manhattan skyline has hit a temporary plateau, but several new towers will be rising by the end of 2013. Work continues on the World Trade Center, though both 150 Greenwich and One World Trade are nearly complete and set to open next year. 200 Greenwich remains firmly on-hold, while 175 Greenwich seems poised to begin construction, though Manhattan’s office market remains quite sluggish.
56 Leonard will be very prominent in the foreground, with 99 Church another big addition coming in 2014—that tower will be directly to the right of the Woolworth Building. Other Financial District additions will be mostly invisible, blocked from view by the neighborhood’s skyscraper canyons.
The above photos were taken at The Jimmy, which sits atop The James Hotel—and the roof’s downtown views are some of the best in the city.
