Renderings have been revealed by Hill West Architects for Court Square City View Tower, expected to rise at 23-15 44th Drive, located on the corner of 23rd Street in the heart of Long Island City. The architect’s website states the mixed-use project will rise 66 stories and contain 802 condominium units.

In early 2016, YIMBY reported the developer, United Construction & Development Group, filed a request with the Federal Aviation Administration to build a 984-foot-tall structure. In September, the FAA concluded that the project could rise 752 feet above street level, and the latest renderings appear to be consistent with that height limit.
The latest new building applications, which have not yet been amended to reflect the height reduction, describe a 78-story, 702-unit mixed-use tower that would measure 999,664 square feet. The 79,026-square-foot site is currently vacant and construction is slated to begin this year.

The MTA will have to do something to increase capacity. Transit improvement usually comes AFTER demand already exists.

Nice reduction in height, from 984 to 752 feet, and from 78 floors to 66. Just because of FAA and flying route to LGA. Btw, even with that this building would be still pretty tall, over 90 feet above Citibank tower 1, and over 550 feet over Citibank tower 2 next door, 14 story structure. Plus second tallest structure here, is a huge 50 story residential complex at 515 feet, just across Citibank tower complex in Court Square. Future tallest building in Queens will be 800 feet some tower built over Clocktower at Queensbridge plaza. Also before planned at 915 feet height, now new plans for 800 some, maybe because FAA height limit too.
