Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 193 13th Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Located between Third and Fourth Avenues, the interior lot is three blocks south of the 4th Avenue-9th Street subway station, serviced by the F, G, and R trains. Matthew Riez under the WJ 193 13th Street LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 5,493 square feet, with 4,110 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have four residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,004 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Glenn Greenberg of East End Engineering is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in May 2020 for the residential building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
