The affordable housing lottery has launched for 422 East 31st Street, a four-story residential building in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Designed by Paul Lombardi of Design Studio Associates NY Inc. and developed by O&B Properties, the structure yields ten residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $68,572 to $187,330.
Amenities include assigned parking spaces, a shared laundry room, virtual doorman, and pet-friendly policies for small pets. Residences come with air conditioning, energy-efficient appliances, hardwood floors, charging outlets with USB ports, intercoms, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity including hot water, heat, and stove.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there is one one-bedroom with a monthly rent of $2,000 for incomes ranging from $68,572 to $156,130, and two two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,250 for incomes ranging from $77,143 to $187,330.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than April 24, 2023.

Just horrific in nearly every single way. The front of the building looks like what you’d expect the back of the building to look like. The third world architecture still routinely seen in this city hurts the soul.

This isn’t affordable housing but INCOME LINKED housing and only affordable to upper middle income and upper income people.
This is a joke and a NYS taxpayer subsidy to millionaire developers.

All I have to say is this the City of New York as failed low income residents homelessness will intensified if this continue. I stop applying for low income apartments.

of all these New Buildings?
As you know, the Developer’s Engineers Certify the Structural Integrity for the buildings
Not DOB. This is called Self-Certifcation.
Perhaps our DOB Engineers would do an even worse job.
