The affordable housing lottery has launched for 14-27 28th Avenue, a five-story residential building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by C3D Architecture and developed by Refik Radoncic of Astrosquare LLC, the structure yields 36 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 11 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $89,143 to $218,010.

Units come equipped with air conditioning, patio or balcony, charging outlets with USB ports, dishwashers, hardwood floors, intercoms, smart controls for heating and cooling, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Amenities include virtual doorman, elevator, green space, shared laundry room, bike storage lockers, gym, garage with assigned parking spaces and electric vehicle charging stations, and a rooftop terrace. Tenants are responsible for electricity.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are eight one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,600 for incomes ranging from $89,143 to $181,740; and three two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,100 for incomes ranging from $106,286 to $218,010.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than October 18, 2024.
