Permits have been re-issued for the demolition of seven buildings located at 156-166 Bowery in Nolita, Manhattan. According to previously issued permits, the parcel will be combined to construct a new seven-story commercial property on the site. Professional Engineer Robespierre Aristilde is listed as the applicant of record on demolition filings, while Perkins + Will Architects are listed as the architect of record for the new structure.
The buildings to be demolished range from three to four stories tall, with heights between 38 and 45 feet. Three of the buildings have three units each. The estimated cost for each demolition is listed at $50,000, with the floor area of each building listed as 6,685 square feet.
When complete, the new property that will be constructed on the site is planned to stand 85 feet tall and span 72,441 square feet. Transit nearby will include subway stations serving the J, Z, and 4 trains.
Permits were filed on September 30, with current status dates ranging from September 30 to October 1. No estimated completion date has been provided at this time.
