Permits have been filed for a two-story manufacturing building at 214 Butler Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Located between Nevins and Bond Streets, the lot is within walking distance of the Union Street subway station, served by the R train. Kevin Clarke of New York City Department of Environmental Protection is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 53-foot-tall development will yield 19,927 square feet designated for manufacturing space. The steel-based structure will also have a 74-foot-long rear yard and five open parking spaces.
Peter Young of Hazen and Sawyer, D.P.C. is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
