Extell Development and Carlyle Group have filed applications for another Riverside Center building, this time at 639 West 59th Street, in Lincoln Square. The building will stand 34 stories or 391 feet in height, and will have 244 residential units. Retail space will span 1,845 square feet on the ground floor within the larger 330,152 square-foot building, and amenity space will be located on the ground floor and cellar. Goldstein Hill & West Architects is the architect of record.

The master plan of Riverside Center, by Christian de Portzamparc, has six buildings, which will include 2,500 units, a hotel and roughly 250,000 square feet of commercial space, among other facilities. The Extell/Carlyle team filed for another 34-story residential building back in April at 10 Riverside Boulevard.

Elsewhere within the masterplan, foundation work is currently under way at 1 West End Avenue, a 41-story building revealed by YIMBY in 2014, and the 43-story building at 21 West End Avenue has topped out. YIMBY also recently revealed the two-tower building planned at 400 West 61st Street.
