A new dining concept is set to open at The Wyldes, a residential project located at 1100 South 5th Street in Harrison, New Jersey. The concept, which is being led by Episcope Hospitality, will feature two separate restaurants based on the time of day: Keepers and Keepers Coffee. Developed by Advance Realty Investors, The Wyldes yields 399 units and approximately 70,000 square feet of amenity space.
A $79 million construction loan was recently issued for 250 West 49th Street, a 28-story residential building currently under construction in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by C3D Architecture and developed by Chess Builders, the tower will yield 138 units and 2,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The loan was facilitated by S3 Capital.
Construction is complete on Pearl House, an office-to-residential conversion at 160 Water Street in Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Gensler and developed by Vanbarton Group, the project involved the construction of a three-story rooftop expansion atop an existing midcentury tower and the conversion of its 525,000 square feet of office space to yield 588 rental units. The property is located at the corner of Water and Fletcher Streets.
Services for the Underserved (S:US) is in the process of renovating four neglected tenement buildings at 351-357 West 45th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. The organization purchased the properties in June for $20 million following years of tenant protests and legal action due to dangerous living conditions, and is refurbishing them for affordable housing. The buildings are located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues.
A proposal has been submitted to the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) for a rear yard addition to 167 West 85th Street, a Romanesque Revival-style row house on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Grasso-Menziuso Architects, an AIA-certified firm based in Manhattan, has prepared the application, which is set to be reviewed on January 14.
