Developers have secured a $277 million construction loan for 201 Hudson Street, a 69-story residential tower in Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Concrete Amsterdam with HLW International as the architect of record and developed by a joint venture between Urby and Rockpoint, the 677-foot-tall structure will span approximately 528,000 square feet and yield 748 rental units. The project will also include roughly 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, structured parking, and a suite of lifestyle amenities.

Haven Green Development to Shift From Nolita’s Elizabeth Street Garden to Vacant LES Site

Plans have been scrapped for Haven Green, a 123-unit affordable senior housing development at the Elizabeth Street Garden in Nolita, Manhattan, under a legal settlement that shifts the project to a city-owned lot on the Lower East Side. The agreement ends the November 2025 lawsuit brought against the city by developers Pennrose, RiseBoro Community Partnership, and Habitat for Humanity New York City and Westchester, which formally discontinued the case on Thursday. Under the settlement, the development team will acquire the 15,500-square-foot city-owned lot at 22 Suffolk Street and build more than 180 affordable homes. The Elizabeth Street Garden will remain preserved as parkland on its 20,000-square-foot parcel between Prince and Spring Streets.

Construction Begins on 2.5-Mile Bus Lane Overhaul Of 116th Street In East Harlem, Manhattan

Construction is underway on a major redesign of the 116th Street crosstown bus corridor running through Harlem and East Harlem, Manhattan. Led by the New York City Department of Transportation in partnership with the MTA, the project will add 2.5 miles of offset and curbside bus lanes, dedicated traffic signals known as queue jumps, protected bike lanes, and 35,000 square feet of new pedestrian space along a corridor serving more than 65,000 daily bus riders across ten routes. The redesign was presented to Manhattan Community Board 11’s transportation committee in June and calls for 24/7 red-painted bus lanes in both directions from Fifth Avenue to Pleasant Avenue.

LPC To Review Revised Renovation Plans For 80 Horatio Street In West Village, Manhattan

Revised plans have been revealed for the renovation and single-unit conversion of 80 Horatio Street, a five-story residential building in the West Village, Manhattan. Under the proposal, assembled by Allen + Killcoyne Architects and being led by Jane St Garden LLC, the 63-foot-tall building will be converted from eight units into a single-family residence. The project will also include a reconstructed rear façade, a rooftop addition culminating in a bulkhead at an elevation of 74.83 feet, and excavation of the cellar and rear yard. The property is located between Greenwich Street and Washington Street.

New images have been revealed for the completed amenity spaces at The Greyson, a 29-story residential tower at 25 Cottage Street in Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Nasser Freres, the structure yields 622 rental units in studio- to three-bedroom layouts. The project also includes 44,551 square feet of office space and 3,823 square feet of ground-floor retail along the Homestead Place pedestrian plaza.

Three New Green Median Infrastructure Projects Announced In Queens

Construction is nearing completion on the first of three green infrastructure projects in an $8.4 million program converting concrete roadway medians into stormwater-absorbing landscapes in Whitestone, Forest Hills, and Queens Village, Queens. Announced Thursday by Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani, Governor Kathy Hochul, and Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Lisa F. Garcia, the newly-engineered medians are expected to capture a combined five million gallons of stormwater each year, easing strain on the sewer system and reducing combined sewer overflows into the East River, Flushing Bay, and Jamaica Bay.

Eastern Parkway Library Expansion Breaks Ground In Crown Heights, Brooklyn

Construction is underway on the $36 million renovation and expansion of the Eastern Parkway Library, a two-story Classical Revival Carnegie library at 1044 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Allied Works and managed by the New York City Department of Design and Construction for Brooklyn Public Library, the project will expand the 12,250-square-foot branch’s public space by more than 50 percent and add a 13,400-square-foot, three-story wing along Schenectady Avenue. The project will also include a renovated courtyard with outdoor seating, a third-floor reading terrace surrounded by greenery, and a permanent home for the branch’s Adult Learning Center.

Revised plans are set to be presented to the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) for the residential conversion and rooftop expansion of the Hotel Bossert at 98 Montague Street, a 14-story Renaissance Revival landmark in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by SomeraRoad, the 117-year-old structure spans roughly 187,200 square feet and will yield 61 condominium units, according to offering plan filings. The project will also include a 3,200-square-foot ground-floor restaurant from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, infill within the building’s existing courtyards, and new window openings.

The property spans a full block bounded by Cortlandt Street, Liberty Street, Church Street, and Broadway.
