Williamsbridge Gardens, a 170-unit affordable housing complex in The Bronx, is now complete. Located in the Williamsbridge neighborhood, the property consists of two eight-story buildings along East 211th and East 212th Streets between White Plains Road and Holland Avenue.
Douglaston Development is now welcoming the first wave of tenants at 2856 Webster Avenue, a 188-unit affordable housing property in The Bronx. Located in the Bedford Park neighborhood, all of the units are reserved for seniors earning up to 50 percent Area Median Income.
The Bronx Logistics Center in Hunts Point has officially achieved a LEED v4 Platinum rating, the highest LEED certification granted by the U.S. Green Building Council. Designed by ARCO and developed by Turnbridge Equities and Dune Real Estate Partners, the 1.3-million-square-foot facility is on track to open this year and will be among a small group of LEED Platinum-rated distribution buildings in the country.
The Domain Companies has launched an affordable housing lottery for apartments at The Estela, a two-building rental complex in the Mott Haven section of the South Bronx. Located at 414 and 445 Gerard Avenue, the property contains a mix of 380 market-rate units, 164 affordable apartments, 35,000 square feet of tenant amenities, and about 9,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, which will include a grocery store.
Gilbane Development Company, Hudson Companies, and MHANY Management have secured $297 million to complete phase two of The Peninsula, a mixed-use, 100-percent affordable housing complex in Hunts Point, The Bronx. The five-building master plan is being designed by WXY Architecture + Urban Design and Body Lawson Associates, Architects & Planners and will be delivered in three phases.
