A 31-story condominium tower is coming to Manhattan’s Upper East Side neighborhood thanks to a partnership between Hudson Companies and Evalon Company, a South Korean-based developer. Comprised of primarily one- and two-bedroom units, the development, which has not disclosed an address, promises a number of amenities and sweeping city views.
Hudson Companies has achieved a major milestone at La Central, a 1.1-million-square-foot affordable housing development in The Bronx, where a collection of new commercial tenants will soon open shop. Tenants include a community-based café, a sit-down Mexican restaurant, a take-out pizza shop, an organic grocer, and an operator for the 135-space on-site parking garage.
Developers and city officials recently celebrated the commencement of construction at Peninsula, a five-acre mixed-use complex in The Bronx. Located in Hunts Point, the project includes a complete transformation and conversion of the defunct Spofford Juvenile Detention Center.
Construction has topped out on two buildings within La Central, a 1.1-million-square-foot development in the South Bronx. Designed in collaboration by MHG Architects, FXCollaborative, and Future Green Studio, the new structures represent the second phase of La Central’s three-phase masterplan.
Work on 460 Main Street, aka Riverwalk 8, has topped out. One of the newest developments to rise on Roosevelt Island, the project contains the first permanent affordable housing to be built on the island. The 21-story, 340-unit building is designed by Handel Architects and is being developed as a joint venture between The Related Companies and Hudson Companies. Riverwalk 8 is the eighth component in the nine-building Riverwalk rental complex.
