Each building will measure 5,907 square feet, and the residential units across both structures should average a rental-sized 728 square feet apiece. They layouts are identical in each building, with a single unit on the ground floor, two units per floor on the the second and third levels, and a single unit on the fourth and fifth floors. Queens-based Gerald J. Caliendo is the architect of record. The 40-foot-wide plot is currently occupied by a two-and-a-half-story wood-framed house. Demolition permits were recently filed to knock it down.

Each building will encompass 5,453 square feet, and residential units in both buildings will average 652 square feet apiece, indicative of rentals. Laundries will be located in the cellar. Mt. Vernon, N.Y.-based Jeffrey Sandor Orling is the architect of record. The 48-foot-wide plot of land is currently vacant, although vegetation will first have to be removed.

Flushing-based Y.S.A. 91 Development Corporation has filed applications for a four-story, three-unit residential building at 653 Maple Street, on the northern end of East Flatbush, seven blocks from the Sterling Street stop on the 2 and 5 trains. The project will measure 6,050 square feet in total and contain 4,840 square feet of residential space. There will be one unit each on the ground and second floors, and one unit spanning the entire third and fourth floors. Given the spacious layouts, condominiums are most likely in the works. Queens-based Gerald Caliendo is the architect of record. The existing single-story home was filed for demolition this back in September.
