The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1626 and 1630 Brooklyn Avenue, two four-story residential buildings in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Designed by Paul J. Hessel, the structures yield a total of 16 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $62,572 to $139,620.
This week, Governor Cuomo announced a $400 million plan to redevelop 7.2 acres of the Kingsboro Psychiatric Center campus in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. When complete, the medical campus will also include 900 affordable homes, public outdoor spaces, a full-sized basketball court, urban farms, a greenhouse, and dedicated space for community programming.
