Expanded Southwest Resiliency Park Opens In Hoboken, New Jersey

Hoboken officials and community members recently gathered to celebrate the opening of the newly expanded Southwest Resiliency Park, a project that doubles the size of the original park that first opened in 2017. The expansion, led by Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy, and Fourth Ward Councilman Ruben Ramos, adds 1 acre of public space designed by Starr Whitehouse. New additions integrate recreation amenities with green infrastructure as part of the City’s larger stormwater management and resiliency strategy. The park is located at the corner of Harrison Street and Observer Highway.

Hoboken Urby Breaks Ground at 256 Observer Highway in Hoboken, New Jersey

Construction has begun on Hoboken Urby, a 16-story residential building at 256 Observer Highway in Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by Urby and Ironstate, the nearly 420,000-square-foot structure will yield 345 rental apartments in studio- to three-bedroom layouts and more than 17,000 square feet of lower-level retail space. The project will be the ninth in the developer’s portfolio and will rise from a site bounded by Observer Highway to the south, Park Avenue to the east, and Willow Avenue to the west.

‘Charlie’ Residential Tower Begins Construction at Hoboken Connect in Hoboken, New Jersey

Construction has begun on Charlie, a 27-story residential building within Hoboken Connect at NJ Transit’s Hoboken Terminal in Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by Salas O’Brien and Allied and developed by LCOR, the 365,000-square-foot structure will yield 386 units, with 20 percent designated as affordable housing, as well as ground-floor retail space.

1404 Willow Avenue Breaks Ground In Hoboken, New Jersey

Construction has broken ground at 1404 Willow Avenue, the site of an eight-story residential building in Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by MVMK Architects in collaboration with Living Systems and developed by Advance Realty Investors, the structure will yield 52 rental units in studio to three-bedroom layouts with an average scope of 903 square feet, as well as 6,800 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Five of the units will be reserved for affordable housing. The project is part of Hoboken’s North End Redevelopment Plan and is located at the corner of Willow Avenue and 14th Street.

New Design Revealed For Stevens Institute Of Technology’s Davis Hall in Hoboken, New Jersey

New renderings have been revealed for the proposed design for Davis Hall, a 13-story educational and dormitory building for Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by Davis Brody Bond, the 238,000-square-foot structure will replace the current four-story Davis Hall dormitory and will yield academic and research facilities along with student housing. The property is located along the eastern edge of the campus atop Castle Point at the confluence of Wittpenn Walk and Field House Road, adjacent to the 19- and 21-story University Center towers overlooking the Hudson River.
