The New York City Planning Commission has approved plans to construct a 970-unit affordable housing complex along the Bronx River waterfront. Located in the Crotona Park East neighborhood, the development is currently addressed as 1460-1480 Sheridan Boulevard and will include three 24-story buildings.
A new affordable housing project for seniors has opened at 2850 Webster Avenue in Jerome Park, The Bronx, where developers and city officials recently joined for a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Located next to The New York Botanical Garden, the 12-story building was completed by Douglaston Development and designed by Stephen B. Jacobs Group.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for Maven, a 27-story mixed-use tower at 2413 Third Avenue in Mott Haven, The Bronx. Developed by RXR and designed by CetraRuddy, the structure yields 200 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 60 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $92,572 to $227,630.
RXR has released new images of Maven, the developer’s latest residential project in the South Bronx. Located at 2413 Third Avenue in Mott Haven, the 27-story tower is designed by CetraRuddy Architects and contains 200 rental apartments, including 60 rent-stabilized units for middle-income households.
Construction has kicked off on Fischer Senior Apartments, a senior housing property at 97 West 169th Street in Highbridge, The Bronx. Designed by Shakespeare Gordon Vlado Architects and developed by West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing (WSFSSH), the structure will yield 105 homes for seniors, including 54 units for the formerly homeless. All of the units will be reserved for households 55 years and older making less than 50 percent of the area median income.
