Skanska and its joint venture partner ECCO III Enterprises have completed the first phase of a $460 million interstate improvement project in the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx. Key project elements include the replacement of four bridges that connect Bruckner Expressway and Bruckner Boulevard over Amtrak and CSX rail lines, improved pedestrian access, and a new community park.
Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 166-16 88th Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. Located between 168th Street and Merrick Boulevard, the lot is near the 169th Street subway station, serviced by the E and F trains. Fazle Abbas Devjiyani of Laithdevelopers is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Excavation and foundations are progressing at 16 Dupont Street, the site of a 40-story residential tower in Greenpoint, Brooklyn‘s Greenpoint Landing master plan. Designed by GKV Architects and developed by Rockefeller Group with partner Park Tower Group, the 400-foot-tall structure will span 365,651 square feet and yield 378 units, as well as 2,548 square feet of commercial space and 138 enclosed parking spaces. Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the intersection of Dupont, West, and Commercial Streets.
Pier 57, a former New York City Transit Authority bus depot on the South Chelsea waterfront, has won New York State’s Historic Preservation Award recognizing significant efforts to transform the site into a vibrant public destination. The redevelopment project was completed in collaboration by RXR, Young Woo & Associates, and The Baupost Group.

Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Daniel Kimya under the Fulton Star LLC, the structure yields 50 residences and 9,196 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 15 units for residents at 70 to 120 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $38,160 to $172,920.
