Construction of Astoria West, a new residential development at 30-77 Vernon Boulevard on Astoria‘s waterfront, is nearing completion. Developed by Cape Advisors in partnership with Pioneer Group and designed by Fogarty Finger Architects, the 534-unit project has a new teaser website and rendering of its rooftop.
Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 375 Lefferts Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. Located between Nostrand and New York Avenues, the interior lot is one block east of the Sterling Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Leo Greenfield, as part of an anonymous partnership, is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction is progressing on Gansevoort Peninsula Park, a new 5.5-acre public recreational space near the West Village on the Hudson River. Designed by James Corner Field Operations, who was commissioned by the Hudson River Park Trust in January 2019, the park is located next to Pier 53 and directly across from the Whitney Museum of American Art, and will most notably contain Manhattan’s first public beach.
The journey from Midtown, Manhattan to Staten Island just got easier following the launch of a new NYC Ferry line connecting the two boroughs. The ferry, which costs the equivalent of a single-swipe subway fare, now stops in Midtown at West 39th Street, Vesey Street in Battery Park City, and the St. George Ferry Terminal in Staten Island.

Located at the intersection of West Street and Jane Street, the corner lot is within walking distance of the 14th Street subway station at 8th Avenue, serviced by the A, B, C, and L trains. Matthew Abreu of Aurora Capital Associates is listed as the owner behind the applications. Aurora Capital is also one of the developers for the neighboring 70-74 Gansevoort Street, a six-story mixed-use office building.
