213 3rd Avenue Prepares for Groundbreaking in Gowanus, Brooklyn

Construction is about to break ground on 213 3rd Avenue, a 14-story residential building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Kushner Studios for 590 Degraw LLC, the 145-foot-tall structure will span 82,942 square feet and yield 80 rental units with an average scope of 963 square feet. The project will also include 5,861 square feet of commercial space, a cellar level, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and a ten-vehicle parking garage. The property is located at the corner of 3rd Avenue and Degraw Street.

Permits Filed for 175 Park Avenue Supertall Skyscraper in Midtown East, Manhattan

RXR Realty has filed permits for 175 Park Avenue, a 95-story mixed-use supertall in Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and co-developed by TF Cornerstone, the project has been expanded from its last-announced scope of 83 stories. It’s unclear whether the skyscraper’s previous 1,545-foot height will also be revised. The development, formerly dubbed Project Commodore, will replace the existing Grand Hyatt New York and rise adjacent to Grand Central Terminal at the northwest corner of Lexington Avenue and East 42nd Street.

Demolition Prep Underway for 47-Story Skyscraper at 205 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights

Crews are prepping for demolition at 205 Montague Street, the site of a 47-story residential skyscraper in Brooklyn Heights. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Jonathan Landau of Landau Properties, the 672-foot-tall structure will span 529,597 square feet and yield 90 rental apartments and 46 condominium units with an average scope of 2,100 square feet. The $500 million project will also include nearly 40,000 square feet of retail space, multiple cellar levels, and more than 100 enclosed parking spaces. The 19,000-square-foot property is located at the northwest corner of Montague Street and Cadman Plaza West.

Permits Filed for 903 Dean Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a 12-story mixed-use building at 903 Dean Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located between Grand Avenue and Classon Avenue, the lot is near the Franklin Avenue subway station, served by the A, C, and S trains. David Salamon is listed as the owner behind the applications.

636 West 158th Street Nears Completion in Washington Heights, Manhattan

Construction is nearing completion on 638 West 158th Street, a 17-story residential building in Washington Heights, Manhattan. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Javier Martinez of Artifact Real Estate Development Company, the 197-foot-tall structure will span 118,559 square feet and yield 120 rental units with an average scope of 927 square feet. The project will also include 7,221 square feet of community facility space, a cellar level, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and a 51-vehicle parking garage. The property is located between Riverside Drive and Riverside Drive West.
