The City University of New York’s LaGuardia Community College has signed a ten-year lease extension at Queens Atrium, an eight-story commercial building at 30-20 Thomson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. The college has occupied the building for the last 15 years and currently leases 210,334 square feet across the lower floors of the structure.

Queens Atrium was originally built in 1914 as an industrial building and was later converted into a 425,300-square-foot office building. The property is an eight-minute walk from the 7 train at the 33rd Street-Rawson Street station.

“Long Island City continues to grow as a thriving hub in Queens, offering an ideal environment for world-class education, innovation, and growth,” said Randall Briskin, vice president of real estate at the Feil Organization, which owns Queens Atrium. “We are grateful to continue our long-term relationship with Laguardia Community College and look forward to another decade of success.”
