Foundation work is moving along at 1034-1042 Atlantic Avenue, the site of a 17-story residential building in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Archimaera Architecture and developed by Elie Pariente of EMP Capital Group, the 175-foot-tall structure will span 172,789 square feet and yield 193 rental units with an average scope of 828 square feet, as well as 12,980 square feet of commercial space, a cellar level, a 62-foot-long rear yard, 20 enclosed parking spaces, and one loading berth. Countrywide Builders is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Street and Classon and Grand Avenues.
Recent photographs show trucks and booms along Atlantic Avenue pumping concrete over the sidewalk fencing to the new foundations. Crews on the opposite side along Pacific Street were using a small crane to hoist steel I beams into the site.
The rendering in the main photo was posted on the construction board showing the latest design iteration of the project. The rendering depicts two distinct volumes: a shorter nine-story building along Pacific Street and a much larger building to the north along Atlantic Avenue. Both buildings are largely clad in glass curtain walls with a grid of dark cladding. The larger volume begins with a podium topped with a landscaped terrace, then transitions to the primary fenestration with a gently curving surface. An additional setback and two stacks of balconies are positioned on the upper levels, and the structure culminates in a flat parapet with a mechanical bulkhead lined with ventilation grilles.
Other recent renderings illustrate the northern Atlantic Avenue side, which incorporates several sections of cutout terraces.
The below renderings were seen from our previous update in 2022, showing the design evolution.
The nearest subways from the property are the C and Shuttle trains at the Franklin Avenue station to the northeast.
1034 Atlantic Avenue’s anticipated completion date is slated for winter 2025, as noted on site.

Now that’s the way to make usable balconies. A very attractive design.
This is unreal! So excited for this!
I can’t find any reason for the developers, to apologize for the design on each corner is perfect: Thanks to Michael Young.
This is a stunner! Love the curves and sweeping lines and glad to see Atlantic Avenue building up!
