Permits have been filed for a five-story commercial building at 78-07 51st Avenue in Elmhurst, Queens. Located between Hillyer Street and Queens Boulevard, the lot is near the Elmhurst Avenue subway station, serviced by the E, F, M, and R trains. Danny Turkel of Liberty One Construction LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 49,058 square feet designated for commercial space. The building will be used as a school. According to the permit filing, the steel-based structure will not have yard space or recreation space on the rooftop.
IMC Architecture is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
