The New York City Department of Transportation has announced the second phase of the 31st Avenue bike boulevard redesign in Astoria, Queens. The project will add a parking-protected, two-way bike lane from Steinway Street to 51st Street, extending the corridor from Vernon Boulevard toward Woodside and improving connections to the Queens Waterfront Greenway and East River.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Astoria Cove Phase 1(A), a pair of 26-story and seven-story residential buildings at 4-34 26th Avenue and 4-42 26th Avenue in Astoria, Queens. Designed by JFANYC and Fogarty Finger and developed by KS Group and Alma Realty, the structure yields 731 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 75 units for residents at 80 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $77,829 to $227,500.

30-11 12th Street Readies for Excavation in Astoria, Queens

Work is getting underway at 30-11 12th Street, the site of a nine-story residential building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by Nikolai Katz Architect for Samuel Teitelbaum of Palm Tree Consulting, the 91-foot-tall structure will span 94,474 square feet and yield 124 rental units with an average scope of 761 square feet. The project will also include a 31-foot-long rear yard. The property is located at the southeast corner 12th Street and 30th Avenue.
