Kushner and KABR Group have launched commercial leasing for the Arts & Powerhouse Building, a six-story structure at 130 Bay Street in Jersey City, New Jersey. Originally constructed in 1913 as the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company Warehouse, the building recently underwent a $30 million renovation and is now being branded as the A&P Building.
The redevelopment offers up to 135,000 rentable square feet of commercial space, featuring flexible loft-style layouts, open floor plans ranging from 4,000 to 100,000 square feet, and ceilings up to 27 feet high. Tenants also have access to a 10,000-square-foot rooftop amenity deck with panoramic views of Manhattan. The ground floor has already secured retail tenants including Rumble Boxing, Daily Provisions, Spear Physical Therapy, and One Medical, an Amazon company.
In celebration of the building’s history, Kushner and KABR Group have committed $250,000 to support local artists. The leasing launch was marked by an exclusive art exhibition on February 27, 2025, in collaboration with the Long Meadow Art Residency, featuring the work of Jersey City-based artist Daniella Portillo.
The Arts & Powerhouse Building is located between the Grove Street, Newport, and Exchange Place PATH stations, providing direct access to Hoboken, Midtown Manhattan, and the World Trade Center. It is also near the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail and key roadways, including the NJ Turnpike and the Holland Tunnel, offering connectivity to Newark Liberty International Airport.
