Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 3141 Atlantic Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Located between Norwood and Hale Avenues, the lot is one block south of the Norwood Avenue subway station, served by the J and Z trains. Ramani Mariappan of Royal Builders Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 9,603 square feet, with 7,861 square feet designated for residential space and 1,742 square feet for commercial space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 982 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 20-foot-long rear yard.
Brian T. O’Connor of Green Design is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have already been filed. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
