Permits have been filed for a 13-story mixed-use building at 80 West Broadway in Tribeca, Manhattan. Located at the northwest corner of West Broadway and Warren Street, the lot is one block south of the Chambers Street subway station, served by the 1, 2, and 3 trains. Joseph Roubeni of AW Tribeca Holding is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 145-foot-tall development will yield 90,147 square feet, with 74,334 square feet designated for residential space and 15,813 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 25 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 2,973 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a rooftop terrace.

COOKFOX Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in August for the five-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. I really hope the development preserves the embedded stone street sign indicating “College Place” – the previous name for this stretch of West Broadway that bordered the campus of Columbia until 1857 when it moved to Midtown.

Save the base pillars, fire escapes and college place sign. Are the ai borg destroying everything or are these people soulless pod people?!

  3. Why can’t he just build on top of the current building?!
