Extell’s assemblage between East 79th and East 80th Streets in Yorkville, Manhattan, is inching closer to reality, with demolition permits now pulled for the bulk of the extant structures. The mixed-use, residential buildings set to meet the wrecking ball include addresses 1514 though 1528 First Avenue.
401-403 East 79th Street and 400-402 East 80th Street round out the assemblage, which totals ten parcels, and based on FAR, a new tower could yield upwards of 200,000 square feet. The Real Deal previously reported on Extell’s acquisition of the lots.
Each of the existing buildings named in the latest filings stands four stories tall with ground floor, commercial and retail businesses. Residential portions range from 6 to 12 rental units per building.
