Located between East 87th Street and East 88th Street, the lot is two blocks north of the 86th Street subway station, serviced by the Q train. James Huang of Aimco is listed as the owner behind the applications.

New York-based ODA Architecture has revealed another playfully designed residential building, at 310 East 86th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Reminiscent of the firm’s previous commissions, which are characterized by expressive cubic design language, this new development features a series of boxy setbacks and graceful cantilevers that incorporate private outdoor spaces on the upper levels.
New plans for 310 East 86th Street will see the condominium project nearly double in size. Located in the Upper East Side neighborhood of Yorkville between First and Second Avenues, and only steps away from the Q and R trains at the 86th Street subway station, the site made news recently after Izaki Group Investments purchased and acquired three apartment buildings from Extell.
After nearly a century of development, the MTA debuted phase one of its Second Avenue expansion in 2017. The surrounding Upper East Side community has since experienced a flurry of new residential, retail, and commercial developments that now have access to a dedicated subway line. Developed by Icon Realty Management, 301 East 81st Street, also known as 1562 Second Avenue, is one of many forthcoming projects in the area.
