Gotham Pickleball has signed a new lease at 52-37 Second Street in Long Island City, Queens. The ten-year agreement covers 26,000 square feet at the industrial waterfront property and represents Gotham Pickleball’s second New York City location, further expanding its footprint in Queens. The building is owned and operated by TF Cornerstone.
Plans for the facility call for six indoor courts and two outdoor courts, along with flexible space designed for events and community programming. The project will adapt the building’s industrial design into a combined indoor-outdoor recreational venue. An opening is anticipated in fall 2026.
Gotham Pickleball debuted its first Long Island City location in December 2024 with an 8,000-square-foot facility featuring four courts. Expansion to Second Street will allow the company to broaden its programming, accommodate larger events, and strengthen its presence along the waterfront.
Transit nearby 52-37 Second Street includes the Hunters Point Avenue station and the Vernon Boulevard–Jackson Avenue station, both served by the 7 train.

Boy, I thought Pickleball was gonna disappear like Hula Hoops, was I wrong (again)..I think I even read somewhere that it’s going to be in the 28 Olympics in LA ?
This property should become 2,000 apartments, not a dozen pickle ball courts. Absolutely insane.
Nothing cheaper than installing (then demoing) a few pickleball courts. This is just a short-term holding biz ’til the someone meets the owner’s asking price.
Correct, its a better short-term use than a junkyard or a parking lot for sure!
