A new rendering has been revealed for 900 60th Street, a 13-story mixed-use residential building in Borough Park, Brooklyn. Developed by Montperia Group, the structure will yield 150 apartments, with 35 to 42 units designated as affordable at 60 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI). The project will also include ground-floor retail and a 50-vehicle parking garage. The property is located at the corner of 60th Street and 9th Avenue. An architect has yet to be publicly disclosed.

The rendering looks south at the building, previewing a massing made up of interlocking rectangular volumes with setbacks on the sixth and ninth stories. The façade is shown composed of red and earth-toned brick surrounding an irregular window grid, and the ground level will feature floor-to-ceiling windows for the retail frontage. The main entrance will be located along 60th Street underneath a gray sidewalk canopy.

The site is currently occupied by a low-rise commercial structure. Montperia Group purchased the property in 2016 for more than $9.7 million and has submitted a rezoning application for the project.

The closest subways from the development are the N and W trains at the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway station to the south.

A start and completion date for 900 60th Street have yet to be announced. Construction is expected to take between a year and a half to two years, according to Crain’s New York Business.

  1. The W train does not go to Brooklyn. Why do you constantly get this wrong?
