Progress is moving along at 287 East Houston Street, with the façade now fully installed, the building topped out, and interior work underway. The 11-story building, named 287/LES, is right on the border of the Lower East Side and the East Village, and just five blocks from the Essex Street subway station, providing quick access to the F, J, M, and Z trains. Vinci Partners and Hogg Holdings are developing the project.
In September of 2014, renderings were revealed of the six-story, 70-unit residential conversion of the warehouse at 160 Imlay Street, in Red Hook. Construction has been underway since 2014 on the 224,809-square-foot structure, and now the Daily Brooklyn Eagle has the latest update on the progress. The 70-foot-tall structure has yet to receive its windows, but it appears installation may be imminent. The condos should average a spacious 2,648 square feet apiece, and will come in one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts. Roughly 39,500 square feet of commercial space will be located on the ground and second floors, along with amenities like bike storage, private storage space, a fitness center, and a small parking garage. Est4te Four is the developer, AA Studio is the design architect, and Jeffrey Cole Architects is the architect of record. Completion is expected in the spring of 2017.
It was in December of 2014 when YIMBY first reported on applications for a 22-townhome development spanning 109-125 King Street and 74-84 Sullivan Street, in Red Hook. We later revealed renderings on two occasions in 2015, and now the project is under construction, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reports. Excavation, along with foundation work, is well underway on the townhouses, dubbed King & Sullivan Red Hook Townhomes. The homes will rise three stories above street level and should average a spacious 2,381 square feet apiece. Sanba Partners is the developer, AA Studio is behind the design, and Jeffrey Cole Architects is serving as the architect of record. Completion can be expected later this year or in early 2017.
Last July, developer Hogg Holdings filed plans for 11 stories of condos at 287 East Houston Street, between Suffolk and clinton Streets on the Lower East Side. Now, YIMBY has a new rendering of the facade.
UPDATE: Reps have gotten in touch with YIMBY, noting that these renderings are now outdated, and that Morris Adjmi is now designing the building instead of AA Studio.
A residential conversion is in the works for a three-story loft building at 89 Grand Street in Williamsburg, and YIMBY has the first look at the planned three-story expansion and new two-story building next door.
