Renderings Revealed for 20-Story High-Rise at 26 Cottage Street, in Journal Square

Renderings have been revealed for the upcoming high-rise at 26 Cottage Street in Jersey City’s Journal Square. Located mid-block between Summit Avenue and John F. Kennedy Boulevard, the new development will rise 223 feet high in a low-scale residential neighborhood within walking distance to the Path train. The 20-story 26 Cottage Street is one of three towers in development by the Namdar Group, a Long Island-based developer. The other two are 35 Cottage Street across the street and 26-28 Van Reipen Avenue on the next block to the south. C3D Architecture is responsible for the design.

Leasing Launches for MRK at 97 Newkirk Street in Journal Square, Jersey City

The Namdar Group and Modern Spaces have officially launched leasing at MRK, a new 16-story rental tower in Jersey City. Located at 97 Newkirk Street, the building is the most recent rental property to debut in the city’s Journal Square neighborhood.

Façade Work Underway on Hillrose 28 at 157-161 East 28th Street in Kips Bay

Exterior work is underway at 157-161 East 28th Street, aka Hillrose 28, a topped-out 20-story building in the Midtown neighborhood of Kips Bay. Located at the northern corner of East 28th Street and Third Avenue, the residential project stands 191 feet tall and contains 66,125 square feet of space spread across 43 units. C3D Architecture is the project designer, Lemay + Escobar is the interior designer, and Forkosh Development is the developer of the property. Corcoran Sunshine is in charge of marketing and selling the residences.

Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 66 Clinton Street on the Lower East Side, Manhattan. Located between Stanton Street and Rivington Street, the lot is three blocks from the Delancey Street-Essex Street subway station, serviced by the F, M, J, and Z trains. Michael Bauer of Borough Equities is listed as the owner behind the applications. According to the Bowery Boogie, the nonprofit New Life of New York City sold the property and the vacant lot next door for $8.7 million to Vault Development and TLM Equities in May.

157-161 East 28th Street Begins to Gain Prominence, in Kips Bay

Construction on a 19-story residential building at 157-161 East 28th Street in the Manhattan neighborhood of Kips Bay is about to surpass several adjacent low-rise structures. Now clearing the sixth floor, the reinforced concrete structure will eventually be 191 feet tall. C3D Architecture is the project architect while Alex Forkosh of Forkosh Development is the developer of the 43-unit, 66,125-square-foot project. The company purchased the lot back in January 2018 for $43 million, and three low-rise apartment buildings were demolished to clear the way for the new structure.

76 Bowery Tops Out in Chinatown

76 Bowery Street recently topped out over Chinatown. The eight-story reinforced concrete structure sits in front of the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge between Canal Street and Hester Street. The new 85-foot-tall building is located within the “Dimond Center” of Chinatown, where a number of small jewelry shops line the busy streets. It is being designed by C3D Architecture and will include 14,488 square feet of office space. Titan Realty & Construction is the general contractor and is overseeing the build.

Exclusive Reveal for New Condominium Development at 3128 Henry Hudson Parkway, Spuyten Duyvil

A new condominium residence from R+B Development will soon take shape in Spuyten Duyvil, a historied, Dutch-borne neighborhood of The Bronx that has, in some ways, matured into a suburb for the upper middle class. The project is located at 3128 Henry Hudson Parkway and YIMBY has the exclusive new renderings of the rising structure, designed by C3D Architecture.

Located between 21st Avenue and 21st Road, the corner development site is three blocks east of the Ralph Demarco Park along the East River. The closest transit access is the Ditmas Boulevard Station in the neighborhood, serviced by the W train. D.A. Development Group is behind the applications.

Located in East New York, Brooklyn, between Miller Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue, the proposed development site is eight blocks west of the Cleveland Street subway station, serviced by the J train. Alfred Basal of Plaza Homes is listed as the owner of the project.

Permits have been filed earlier this Month for a seven-story residential building at 3128 Henry Hudson Parkway in Spuyten Duyvil, the Bronx. Now, YIMBY has the exclusive reveal for what’s coming to the site, and it’s going to look good. The site is a sixteen-minute walk from the 231st Street subway station, serviced by the 1 trains. Refik Radoncic of R+B Development is responsible for the project.
