Below-grade work is progressing at 43-30 24th Street, the site of a 66-story residential skyscraper in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Carmel Partners, the 731-foot-tall tower will yield 921 units spread across 838,000 square feet and 17,400 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The developer purchased the 79,250-square-foot full-block parcel from Stawski Partners for $200 million in March 2022 and secured a $364 million construction loan from Wells Fargo to complete the project. Carmel Construction East is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by 43rd Avenue to the north, 44th Road to the south, 24th Street to the east, and 23rd Street to the west.
Permits have been filed for a 17-story mixed-use building at 54 Crown Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located on the corner of Franklin Avenue and Crown Street, the lot is about five blocks from the Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum subway station, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains. Carmel Partners is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Situated along the intersection of Fulton Street and Dutch Street in Lower Manhattan, 19 Dutch ranks 24th on New York City’s list of the thirty tallest skyscrapers currently under construction. Standing 770 feet tall, the 63-story tower will have 483 rental units. The building was designed by New York’s GKV Architects, while SLCE served as the architect of record. Carmel Partners is the developer of the project. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is handling the leasing and marketing while interiors are being designed by Colum McCartan.
As construction nears full completion at 19 Dutch in Manhattan’s Financial District, today, the developer has officially launched leasing for the luxury residential tower. Designed by New York’s GKV Architects with SLCE serving as architect of record, the gleaming, glass-clad structure soars 770 feet above Lower Manhattan.
Progress on the 64-story 19 Dutch is moving quickly toward completion, with the development gearing up for the start of leasing in the next few months. The residential project has already seen the completion of the majority of its façade, with only the area under the exterior hoist remaining to be filled-in.
