Disney Headquarters Terracotta Façade Nears Completion at Four Hudson Square in Hudson Square, Manhattan

Façade installation nears completion on The Walt Disney Company’s new headquarters, a 22-story building at Four Hudson Square in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and developed by Silverstein Properties, the 338-foot-tall structure will yield 1.2 million square feet of offices, film and production studios, and ground-floor retail. Lendlease is the general contractor for the property, which is alternatively addressed as 137 Varick Street and occupies a full city block bound by Vandam Street to the north, Spring Street to the south, Varick Street to the east, and Hudson Street to the west.

Exterior work is getting closer to completion on Claremont Hall, a 41-story residential tower at 100 Claremont Avenue in Morningside Heights, Manhattan. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and SLCE Architects and developed by Lendlease, Daiwa House Texas, and LMXD, an affiliate of L+M Development Partners, the 354,000-square-foot building will yield 165 condominium units in one- to four-bedroom layouts as well as new classrooms, office space, and faculty housing for Union Theological Seminary. Lendlease is the general contractor for the property, which is located by the corner of Claremont Avenue and West 122nd Street.

Excavation and piling work is progressing at 1 Java Street, the site of a two-tower residential development along the East River in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed and built by Lendlease, which secured a $360 million construction loan at the end of 2022, the project will yield 850 rental units across the two structures, the taller of which will stand 36 stories and 445 feet tall. Aware Super is the joint developer, INC Architecture & Design is the interior designer for the public areas, and Crème is the interior designer for the townhouse units at the property, which is alternately addressed as 18 India Street and occupies a full block bound by India Street to the north, Java Street to the south, Water Street to the east, and the India Street pier over the East River to the west.
