Façade installation is progressing on 262 Fifth Avenue, a slender 56-story residential skyscraper in NoMad, Manhattan. Designed by Meganom with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development under the Five Points 262 Project LLC, the 860-foot-tall structure will yield 26 condominium units with an average scope of 3,200 square feet, including at least one quadruplex unit. Construction has begun to rise on 280 Eighth Avenue, a 12-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Red Apple Group under the RA 280 Development LLC, the 172-foot-tall structure will span 95,561 square feet and yield 104 rental units with an average scope of 650 square feet, of which 28 as designated as affordable housing, as well as 6,083 square feet of retail space, 511 square feet of community facility space, a cellar level, and a 24-foot-long rear yard. Construction is continuing on THE 74, a 32-story residential tower at 201 East 74th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Pelli Clarke & Partners with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Elad Group, which purchased the property for $61 million in April 2022, the 420-foot-tall structure will yield 42 condominium units and a collection of residential amenities. Rafael de Cardenas is the interior designer for the amenity spaces and the residences, which are being marketed by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing and will include half-floor two- and three-bedroom units, full-floor four- and five-bedroom homes, a single free-standing townhome, and a duplex penthouse. The property is alternately addressed as 1299 Third Avenue and located on an interior lot facing Third Avenue with two small panhandle extensions to East 74th and East 75th Streets.
