Demolition Complete for ODA’s Tree-Topped Skyscraper at 75 Nassau Street in The Financial District

When YIMBY last visited the site of ODA‘s planned tree-topped skyscraper at 75 Nassau Street, the remaining buildings were still being demolished. Now, the lots for the 40-story tower are completely empty and cleaned up. Five buildings had to be razed to make way for the future 498-foot tall, 312,000 square foot structure, which promises to make a unique imprint on the Lower Manhattan skyline. Lexin Capital is the developer of the project, which appears to be stalled at the moment, with no progress since demolition currently visible.

Work Appears Stalled for ODA-Designed 303 East 44th Street in Midtown East, Manhattan

Today YIMBY has an update on progress, or lack thereof, for 303 East 44th Street, situated along East 44th Street between First and Second Avenues in Midtown East, which is tentatively set to stand 600 feet to its rooftop. The tower is being designed by ODA Architects and developed by Triangle Assets, with 44 condominiums spanning between 1,000 to 2,000 square feet apiece. Renderings were revealed nearly three years ago in 2015, however, since then, there has been no clear progress. The site is still home to two small red buildings, one of which is four stories tall, and the other standing three stories. It is unclear when they will come down, but it is most certain that they are still standing.

Quay Tower Sees Brooklyn’s First-Ever $20 Million Condominium Sale

Quay Tower is not like most of the new residential skyscrapers rising in Brooklyn. Now, the building has now shattered a record for the entire borough, with its penthouse entering contract for $20 million, nearly $4 million over the previous record for a Brooklyn apartment set by actor Matt Damon.
