Mill Brook Terrace Affordable Senior Housing Project Debuts at 570 East 137th Street in Mott Haven, Bronx

Mill Brook Terrace, a new affordable housing development for seniors, has opened for occupancy at 570 East 137th Street in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx. Developed by West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing and New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), the project is a result of NYCHA’s NextGeneration Request for Proposals (RFP), a community visioning process that identified the need for additional senior housing and services in the neighborhood. West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing was awarded the site in 2016 and construction was completed in December 2019. By October 2020, the property was fully leased.

TSX Broadway’s Glass Curtain Wall Nears Roof Parapet at 1568 Broadway in Times Square, Manhattan

Curtain wall installation is nearing the parapet of TSX Broadway, a 47-story hotel tower at 1568 Broadway in Times Square. Designed by Perkins Eastman and Mancini Duffy and developed by L&L Holding Company and Fortress Investment Group, the 550,000-square-foot structure will yield 661 hotel rooms, 100,000 square feet of retail space on the lower levels, and a cantilevering outdoor performance stage. The project also involved the restoration and lifting of the historic Palace Theater by PBDW Architects to make room for retail frontage. Pavarini McGovern is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 47th Street.

NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Clinic’s Façade Nears Completion at 70 Atlantic Avenue in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn

Façade work is finishing up on the NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Clinic, a five-story medical facility at 70 Atlantic Avenue in the River Park master plan in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed in house by NY Langone Health, the 89-foot-tall structure spans 160,000 square feet. The site was formerly occupied by the 12-story The Long Island College Hospital, which was purchased by Fortis for $10.1 million in 2014 and subsequently demolished. Skanska USA Building is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 339 Hicks Street and located at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Hicks Street.
